And as I said, reasonable question, because our former 90-day rule, going back a number of years, did pertain to the issuance of a license. This 60-day rule only pertains to submitting your application within 60 days. Some nurses asked, "Well, when does the 60 days begin?" And I think that's a fair question too, and you'll find that within our FAQs. And the answer, obviously, is when you have moved to a new state with the intent of being a resident of that state. Of course, in question number two, which application do I need to complete, or is there anything I need to do? And I think nurses are trying to apply this rule to their situation, and obviously, we make things as clear as possible, but sometimes they need validation.

Many of you are asking, where can you get the handouts? Where can you download the slides? On the main stage… Or let me correct that. In the lobby, there is a sub-tab called Info Desk. And in the Info Desk you'll actually be able to scroll down below the FAQs and you'll see downloadable links for all of the presentations. And those links will remain valid through November 30th. So, with that, let's just jump right into the Q&A. And the first question, Hong, is for you, and that is, when will the new passing standard be established or publicized?

Likewise, test center personnel also undergo screening before being allowed to work. The test centers are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between each test taker, including all objects that candidates interact with or encounter. Candidates and test center personnel are required to wear masks while in the center. FAQs FAQs can be found here. Candidates can schedule testing appointments at Pearsonvue.com/nclex. Our June 25th webinar for educators reviewed NCSBN’s efforts to restore testing capacity during the COVID-19 pandemic, temporary testing sites and what candidates need to know.

. - Okay, Emily, I'm going to keep you on the hot seat. For NCLEX questions that refer to a medication, do we use generic names? Do we use trade names? Do we use a mix of both? - So on the NCLEX exam, we do only use generic names, and this is listed in the candidate bulletin, I believe, FAQs and possibly even the test plan. That way, brand names, as we know, can change and we want to make sure again back to that kind of core fundamental piece. We want to make sure that everyone understands what the question is asking. So it could be something about a generic medication or a classification of medication.

So we did have joint meetings between NCSBN customer service and the Missouri licensure team, and then NCSBN graciously recorded a session where we walked through this whole Nursys e-Notify enrollment piece and shared screenshots. So we shared our screenshots of what our renewal portal looks like, they shared theirs. And we also adapted messaging and FAQs. But that is vitally important because you will have situations where individuals will, of course, reach out to Nursys customer service. And I mean, I don't have to explain how customers are to you, but, you know, they don't understand what part is Missouri and what part is Nursys.

So we're supposed to know either way when they go into the program because of the obligations that we have under the uniform licensure requirements and the compact in total. And so if you want more information about that, you'll see Rule 402 (6). And then some of the highlighted FAQs that I think maybe some of you might have seen before if the person's in an alternative program, can they hold a... I'm sorry. I'll just read the FAQ. "Must an applicant or nurse applying for licensure or currently possessing a multistate license self-disclosed to the board current participation in the program, whether voluntary, involuntary, or confidentially enrolled?"

Puente stated that the updated FAQ document can be found on the NLC Members site. 5. 60-Day Rule – Additional Guidance J. Puente reported that in late Oct. 2023 commissioners received resources regarding the new rule, including a press release that linked to FAQs and a brief video. A board of nursing (BON) asked for clarification of the new rule’s time frame. The NLC Rules Committee discussed the question, and developed supplemental guidance with R. Masters and F. Knight for the public and for BONs. The supplemental guidance was reviewed and with editorial revisions by the NLC Executive Committee. 6.

So we actually have a call center that is a third-party company that we work with, they're out of Winnipeg, Canada. I asked them to take a little picture for me of the team while they were working, so here they are. So, these agents are available 24/7/365 if nurses or employers have questions about nursys.com. They have sort of scripted FAQs and a few things that they can look up. If there's something that they can't handle, they then escalate it to my team in Chicago, and of course, we're available 9:00 to 5:00, Monday through Friday. So sometimes people have to wait until Monday to get an answer.
