  • Rising to the Challenge

    When the Pearson VUE Testing Centers were shuttered because of the COVID-19 crisis, exam resumption was never a question of if it would happen, it was simply a question of how quickly it could happen. Testing resumed eight days later with a modified NCLEX that maintained the integrity of the exam delivered in a testing environment that adhered to CDC guidelines for social distancing and disinfection.

  • 2020 NCLEX Examination Statistics

    This annual publication provides data on candidate performance on the NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN Examinations and also includes data on the candidates who have been able to take the NCLEX-RN for purposes of licensure/registration in Canada since Jan. 5, 2015. This publication provides a brief overview of how Computerized Adaptive Testing (CAT) works, how the passing standard is set, and how the pass/fail decision is made at the beginning. The main part of the publication is a detailed breakdown of candidate performance for 2020 and includes the pass rates by candidate type, degree type and country. In addition, the publication contains NCLEX historical data (e.g., pass rates, passing standards and volume) since CAT administration started in 1994.

    Description: This webinar will discuss how to make the best of the NCLEX Administration Site, highlighting the following elements:

    1. NCLEX Admin Help Guide + Reporting Features
    2. NCLEX Testing Accommodations Process and System Updates 
    3. NCLEX Program Code Maintenance and Changes

    Part one will provide an overview of the NCLEX Admin help guide, as well as some useful reporting functionalities from within the system. Part two will summarize the high level NCLEX testing accommodation process, as well as describe the most recent accommodations system updates. Lastly, part three will explain the basic principles of program code maintenance including information on program code changes at the Nursing Regulatory Body level.

  • Test Security and Accommodations 

    NCSBN ensures the fair and secure delivery of the NCLEX by administering the exam under strict supervision and security measures. The first part of this session will highlight the security measures NCSBN has put in place for the NCLEX, including incidents that occur at testing centers as well as our confidentiality agreement with both students and educators. During the second part of this session, you will learn about the testing accommodation process, including the roles of the candidate, NCSBN, Pearson VUE and nursing regulatory bodies.
