NCLEX Examinations Webinar Series: 2020 Item Review: Differential Item Functioning
This webinar will show you how NCSBN ensures fairness for all groups taking the NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN examinations using a Differential Item Functioning (DIF) panel review process. NCSBN psychometric staff will explain how DIF review helps ensure candidates with comparable nursing knowledge would perform similarly on exam items, regardless of their gender, ethnicity, or other irrelevant factors. More specifically this webinar will discuss:
- What does DIF mean?
- How to detect items with DIF?
