This webinar offers insight into the practice analysis and test plan development process used to create the NCLEX. The information discussed in this webinar can be used to assist nursing regulatory bodies with further understanding test content and purpose.

The purpose of this article is to describe differences in nursing home quality outcomes among nurses who are foreign born and foreign educated, nurses who are foreign born and U.S. educated, and nurses who are U.S. born and U.S. educated.

Elaine Ellibee Award

Deborah Haagenson, RN, President, Minnesota Board of Nursing

The Elaine Ellibee Award is granted to a member who has served as a board president within the past two years and who has made significant contributions to NCSBN.

Regulatory Achievement Award

Washington State Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission

The Regulatory Achievement Award recognizes the member board or associate member that has made an identifiable, significant contribution to the mission and vision of NCSBN in promoting public policy related to the safe and effective practice of nursing in the interest of public welfare.

Exceptional Contribution Award

Janice Hooper, PhD, RN, FRE, CNE, Board Staff, Texas Board of Nursing

The Exceptional Contribution Award is granted for significant contribution by a member who is not a president or executive officer.

Distinguished Achievement Award

Tish Smyer, DNSc, RN, CNE, Past President, Nevada State Board of Nursing (posthumously)

The Distinguished Achievement Award is given to an individual whose contributions or accomplishments have impacted NCSBN’s mission and vision.

This annual report functions as a formal summary of NCSBN’s performance and activities during fiscal year 2014. It also provides financial information, NCLEX pass rates, member achievements, a timeline of NCSBN activities and NCSBN facts.

The Tri-Regulator Collaborative affirms that in a consumer protection model, health care practice occurs where the recipient of health care services is located.

The NCLEX examination test plan provides a concise summary of the content and scope of the examination. The test plan also serves as a guide for both examination development and candidate preparation.

The 2014 NCLEX-PN Test Plan is effective April 1, 2014.
