People have asked Lynn and gets maybe to side of this issue. But we did find out through these items that they're actually not taking longer to answer. Students through the beta, they actually thought the items were closer to what they expected practice to be. That was a good sign. So the ones who've actually seen them are feeling pretty good about them. But the other thing is even though they're longer with a lot more information in them is that because they build in a case, by the time they're getting to the end, they're taking less time on items than they were on a regular NCLEX item, which would kind of intuitively make sense because the information's following them along, right?

So this is kind of a hybrid approach. If you're not totally ready to, you know, dive all the way into the CSV format, which gives you the most flexibility, this is kind of a middle of the road approach. It might be a good option. It also does list all the criteria at the bottom, so you know exactly what you started with. One other note, by the way. I'm not sure how like the range of Excel skills. But one thing I usually do if I'm going to be working with a spreadsheet is I always save a copy.

She's left the profession at this point because the board's final recommendation was that she needed to restart her entire probationary period. And that would have added four years and tens of thousands of dollars to her already considerable debt. And so this is a nurse that we've lost. But she's alive, and that's the good news. I want to end on a positive note. There are some beacons here. There's some good news and there's some places that are doing a really good job, in our opinion, my opinion. This is Lauren from WellSpan. She explains that she was working in an ICU when she developed an addiction to narcotics after a car accident.

What are the arguments for deference? Why might deference be a good thing? Well look, this is the way things were designed. Congress has given the agency or the board certain authority over certain areas, whether it's nursing, dentistry, or anything else, and it is just expected that that agency should have some say on issues related to that particular area of authority.
