It's sending someone to a traditional site-based center, either a point of care or a preferred provider network, and you send them over there for a test. Or it's even an internal company staff performing a collection. We've seen it all, and this is the traditional process. Humorous aside, just recently, we had an inquiry from an individual, a doctor who wanted to be used as a treatment center, a collection site.

By raising the cut point to three years, the percent of correctly identified non-completers was raised to 71%. In other words, most program failures occurred within the first three years of participation in the program. This figure shows that the percent of nurses successfully completing a program distinctly correlates with the number of times she or he is selected for a drug test. It also shows that after 26 tests per year, roughly twice a month, there does not seem to be much of an increase in the percent who successfully completed the program.

The feedback has been very positive as the stakeholders are commenting that the items and evolving case studies are much more realistic with respect to the work needs for entry-level nurses. Comments have indicated they believe the case studies provide a more realistic evaluation of the problem-solving involved in good nursing skills. Also, we've had a number of compliments and comments about this partial credit scoring seems fair as it provides a way to allow candidates to still have some partial understanding rather than an all-or-nothing approach to scoring.
