The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide an organization through which boards of nursing act and counsel together on matters of common interest and concern affecting the public health, safety and welfare, including the development of licensing examinations in nursing. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Media Contact: media@ncsbn.org CHICAGO – Connecticut fully implemented the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) on Oct. 1, 2025, allowing registered nurses (RNs) and licensed practical/vocational nurses (LPN/VNs) who are Connecticut residents to have one multistate license, with the ability to practice in person or via telehealth, in both their home state and other NLC states.
