Standard setting is a judgment following a disciplined process. The standard is related to the mission of the organization and the purpose of the exam. For the REx-PN, the mission is public protection. ©2025 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. All rights reserved. 6 When we set the standard, we always keep the mission in mind. Standards should be revisited when things change in the profession. When we change the test plan, we need to re-evaluate the standard. Thank you very much for attending this session. If you have additional questions, you can enter them in the Q&A panel for the Q&A session.
