It is my role though to understand trauma responses and when we understand common trauma responses, that can really help shape how we're going to care for that patient and sometimes it can also help us differentiate the difference between the hallmarks of dishonesty versus those trauma responses. So I did do a lot of research to prepare this slide and the next one just to give you some good examples from the field of investigative interview protocols and samples to give some good concrete information on what those differences might look like. And I think these are really important. So I am going to take a minute to make sure I'm reading each one of them to you.

Distractors provide the opportunity to evaluate the candidate's knowledge and understanding of the concept of the item. Good distractors discriminate between the candidates who know the material and those who do not. In the editorial review, each item is reviewed to ensure that it is clear, has correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, and adheres to the NCLEX style. ©2025 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc.

Once again, I'll be in the Q&A session, and happy to answer any questions in that time about the presentation or anything else you may want to ask around cyber risk, and how we manage and mitigate our programs and our organizations to be better. But thank you, and have a good rest of the day.

So if you know of a nurse of color who is interested in going into a CRNA role, this is a program that you certainly want to refer. If you can't refer, develop. And there are really good exemplars of evidence- based practices to develop pipeline programs. Our work, which was developed or published in 2014, describes the results of a national survey for recruitment and retention in U.S. nursing schools. And what we found even in that study is that most pipeline programs are developed to increase diversity in the baccalaureate.

Our estimation is pretty precise. So by the 60th item, we start evaluation to see if this person is a passer or a failer. Person is clearly a failer, so the person didn't pass the exam. And as you can see here, even though this person really didn't do so good... I mean, by the 15th item, you can see that, you know, he never quite got up to the passing standard after that, but because by the 15th item, we haven't covered the test plan content enough, we'll keep asking questions until the 60th, and then we'll make a decision whether this person passed or failed.

So what is really important also here is that we bring together partners from different sectors because, as you know, these sectors tend to be very much segmented and siloed, and health sector is no exception to that. So how do we bring these different groups together? We've been talking about it for decades, ladies and gentlemen, but we still haven't succeeded. And so how do we bang heads together so we can get some good results? I'm sure you will have some good ideas on that. We also have to deal with the internationalization of the global workforce labor market. The migration is a huge issue and you're dealing with these transnational issues yourselves. How do we deal with these issues?

And so, I have legislation called the Future Advancement of Academic Nursing Act or the FAAN Act, which, you know, we were successful in getting some money $500 million out of the House last Congress. And so, we're working on getting it all the way across the finish line. But it's a good investment because we know that as the baby boomers continue to age, this is, like, the largest group of seniors we've ever had in this country, like the most numbers. ©2023 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc.
