    Learn how NCSBN and Pearson VUE use secure palm vein biometric technology to verify NCLEX test-taker identity, protect data, prevent fraud, and ensure exam integrity. NCSBN and Pearson’s commitment to individuals who provide palm vein scans is that the templates or biometric data derived from those scans will be protected to the same level as any other confidential and sensitive information.  The templates or biometric data derived from your palm vein scans will be retained for a period of three (3) years after you successfully pass an NCSBN examination or three (3) years after your last interaction with Pearson, whichever occurs first, unless otherwise required by law, and will be permanently destroyed upon expiration of the relevant three (3) year period.
