    CHICAGO – Connecticut fully implemented the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) on Oct. 1, 2025, allowing registered nurses (RNs) and licensed practical/vocational nurses (LPN/VNs) who are Connecticut residents to have one multistate license, with the ability to practice in person or via telehealth, in both their home state and other NLC states.

    Primary care was the most common clinical practice area at about 20% of the sample, and over 50% of respondents reported working in some manner of hospital setting. Of that cohort, equal proportions reported working inpatient, outpatient, or both. Finally, a plurality of respondents reported practicing in a rural area, with 1 in 6 APRNs working in a setting designated as a health provider shortage area. Two-thirds of all respondents reported having at least one collaborative practice agreement in the year prior to COVID-19. While most respondents reported having only one agreement, the median number of physicians with whom they had a collaborative practice agreement was 2.

    And all three medications work at the level of that opioid receptor to reduce cravings. Methadone as a full opioid agonist kind of activates the receptor completely kind of like what I was showing you with the yellow highlight in that cell, but just not all that intense. And it sits there for 24 hours. Buprenorphine as a partial agonist sits in the receptor, but not quite fully. It also is very long-acting, more than 24 hours, sometimes and does activate the receptor to some extent. And then naltrexone or is a complete antagonist that just sits on top of the receptor.
