Although the development of Bayesian networks and neural net models are primarily in the theoretical stages at this time, it is expected that applications of these models will become more prevalent in the near future and will yield realistic and authentic features to standardized tests and performance tasks that are not currently available. This is our huge bank of items that we actually have reviewers come in and take a look at as well. So content currency also includes our continuous practice analysis. As I talked about before, the practice analysis is a survey that asks nurses to rate not only the tasks that they're doing, but how frequently do they perform the task and how important is it that an entry-level nurse would need to know these type of activities?

Simulation Study | NCSBN
The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide an organization through which boards of nursing act and counsel together on matters of common interest and concern affecting the public health, safety and welfare, including the development of licensing examinations in nursing. Phase III was a longitudinal study that followed the nurse graduates into their clinical practice as new registered nurses. National Simulation Study Results View the results of this landmark study. Download Phase I A survey was developed to determine the prevalence of simulation use—types of equipment used and the courses in which simulation is used; faculty training and development to use simulation; and if simulation is used as a substitute for clinical hours.

Here we see a totality of the data that was collected across the studies. Since everyone has a copy of the slides, I'll move ahead so that we can get to the results of the studies as they relate to clinical judgment. However, we see here the breadth of information collected and studied. Again, I won't spend a lot of time on this because you have the slides and can download the research write-ups from our website. But I wanted to provide another sense of the enormity of the undertaking. One thing to note was that we attempted to... In every study, we attempted to get a broad range of nurses to participate in the studies.
