INRC Launches New Website | INRC
Site: inrc.com
The International Nurse Regulator Collaborative (INRC) is a collaboration between nursing regulatory organizations throughout the world. Our nine member organizations are dedicated to promoting research, sharing intelligence, and working together to influence policy to protect the public's health, safety, and welfare around the world. Last year, we recognized that it was time to develop a site that reflected our commitment to public safety, health and welfare. With great thought and intentionality, we’ve created an organized space for member and nonmember organizations alike to find member contact information, browse resources and news items related to nursing licensure and regulations, and read more about INRC’s mission and foundation.

A mistaken belief that content deleted from a site is no longer accessible. The moment something is posted, it lives on a server that can always be discoverable in a court of law. A mistaken belief that it is harmless if private information about patients is disclosed if the communication is accessed only by the intended recipient.

Limited clinical experiences, variety of clinical experiences, and the reality with both simulation as well as clinical experiences. And then meaningful collaboration between practice and educators. What we heard is that, this collaboration needs to start from the beginning when you're planning the curriculum and not just when you're trying to get a site. Administrator consistency and leadership has just come up time and time again in the literature, the Delphi and it's coming out in other areas as well. And then the same as a well-prepared, consistent faculty. Now, remember, these results will be integrated into the larger five-year annual report and site visit document as well as the literature review and then we'll come out with some recommendations.

Experience shows that the degree to which a prescribed medication is misused depends in large part on how easily it is redirected (diverted) from the legitimate distribution system7,8,54. Misuse: The term misuse (also called nonmedical use) encompasses all uses of a prescription medication other than those that are directed by a clinician and used by a patient within the law and the requirements of good medical practice14.

Eventually, her physician cut her off. She began diverting from the workplace because she was concerned that if she didn't stay on the opioids that her period of withdrawal would cause her to lose her job and lose her home with her two kids. Now, that's not an excuse. It's a reason. And it was very real for her. She was ultimately caught at work. And at her workplace, they were mandatory reporters, obviously, to the state. They also had a policy of reporting anyone caught for diversion to local law enforcement. And so, at the same time she was reported to the state board of nursing, she was also arrested and charged with 26 felonies, one for each vial of wasted narcotics that she had taken.

Transcript_Practice_Academic_Partnership.pdf
To benefit both students and hospitals during this crisis, NCSBN has joined with other national nursing organizations to promote a Practice/Academic Partnership model. Under this model, students are hired by the hospital and considered paid employees, while at the same time, they earn clinical credit through their educational institution with faculty to oversee and evaluate their skills.
