A good strategic plan will assist a new EO in understanding their role and the NRB's role. One of the NRB's fundamental roles is setting direction for the NRB. The NRB, working closely with the EO, should periodically review the NRB's mission, values and vision; and understand its stakeholders and the internal and external operating environment.
