These supports are consistent across states and across nurses' demographic characteristics. So, among the nurses who opposed the compact, their major concern raised by the nurses were the compact may lower the patient safety. So, about 700 nurses reported their licensing state imposes more stringent license requirement than the other states, so they are better. So, the nurses from other states may not be safe to practice. They worry the NLC may let these unsafe nurses to practice in their states, which will lead to negative patient outcomes.
