So if the standard stays the same, we would expect that there would be the similar passing rate as today.

The results of this work provided a basis and foundation for the development of the Clinical Judgement Measurement Model displayed here. The model is outlined in layers that refine the clinical judgement process into an information processing model at layers 2 and 3. Layer 3 is the level at which items are written to measure the specific elements of the clinical judgement decision-making process using the Information Processing Model that was discussed earlier. You also see that Layer 4 outline some of the most salient aspects of Dr.

That's what we want, right? We want good memories disclosed back to the investigator. And how do we get those? So, traditional or [00:26:30] historical approach, right? Chronological. Who, what, when, and why, and sometimes how, right? Most people here, right? That's what we want. Expectation of a complete memory recall, lack of understanding regarding impact of trauma. Who here will say that's the way they initially started being trained as to ask questions, right?

So we know that entry-level nurses engage in that behavior as they're making decisions as they're providing client care. One of the things that we do say is right now, the questions that are on the REx-PN exam already include some form of that critical thinking aspect. ©2025 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. All rights reserved. 2 We just haven't moved to formalize the assessment of clinical judgment on the exam at this point. We're also very aware of those forward-thinking educators that I just mentioned, and many of them have already begun using clinical judgment inside of their curriculum.

I like the tone of it, but I also like that if I'm a member state, kind of like what we just heard, and I want to be compliant, that's how I'll do it. Thank you. - Yeah, and I think compliance is sometimes a difficult term to accept. But obviously, you know, throughout the year, I know that I receive many contacts from you all about another state who's doing X, Y, Z, or not doing X, Y, Z. And it's like, 'Do something about it." They're not doing what they're supposed to do. So whether you feel obliged or not, know that other states have an expectation because they know that the compact is all about uniformity to the extent that we can.

Anthony: The next set of research that really included more of the psychometric look, did the CAT measure as well as paper and pencil or not? Woman: The full capabilities of CAT were put to the test in an effort to design a comprehensive https://timeline.ncsbn.org/ ©2018 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. Anthony: The advantages of CAT for the organization were gonna be huge if it were to work. But, really, it was such an early technology of this time that there was a bunch of research that we needed to accomplish, to make sure that it was a feasible modality for national level nursing licensure exam.
