These are two important concepts that go a long way in understanding the paperless environment, as defined below - What is a work queue? A work queue in simple terms is a mechanism to segment the incoming tasks (i.e. license applications, Name change requests, complaints, etc.) for board staff in the office. For example, the Board may choose to create different work queues for RN, LPN, APRN license applications, furthermore there could be separate work queues for initial licensure by exam or initial licensure by endorsement applications etc. Board staff may have their own work queue (My Work Queue) and could pick up applications from that queue to process.

Experience shows that the degree to which a prescribed medication is misused depends in large part on how easily it is redirected (diverted) from the legitimate distribution system7,8,54. Misuse: The term misuse (also called nonmedical use) encompasses all uses of a prescription medication other than those that are directed by a clinician and used by a patient within the law and the requirements of good medical practice14. Please also see "Substance Use Disorder". Opioid: An opioid is an opium-like compound that binds to one or more of the three opioid receptors of the body. The class includes naturally occurring and synthetic or semi-synthetic opioid drugs or medications, as well as endogenous opioid peptides19.

- Are you asking about the nurse practicing telehealth or the supervisor? - Well, I'm asking about the supervisor. My question is, does the supervisor also need to be licensed in that non-compact state because she's overseeing the nurse that's doing the telehealth? - I think that's a very good question. Are you giving them direction related to patient or clinical care? - Well, at times there are questions that are asked that guidance is provided. ©2024 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. All rights reserved. 18 - Okay. That's a very unique question.

He immediately perked up, and I'll admit, for maybe 30 minutes or 45 minutes, I wasn't working. I was playing. We were exploring all sorts of ideas of what a robot doctor could be, what its powers could be? It shoots lasers, it makes cookies, all the good stuff. And while this presentation would be far more entertaining if we just played a video of that conversation, I want to focus today on the basics of artificial intelligence. What it's going to mean for health care? How regulators are approaching it nationally and internationally?

You also have a scenario where employers are refusing to give references or only giving very skinny references saying they worked here from this period to this period. So, we're not giving any character information or any detail. So, we've come across that a lot in licensing because we have a legislative requirement that we get an employment reference of good character, and the majority of them will refuse to give us anything or will only give us dates of employment. And a lot of them have moved around. So, we're feeling like we're in a bit of a quandary with what's happening in society about approaching employer references and then a little bit about what we're learning here about employer references or employer information is important.

Shu-chuan, I'm going to move back to you with a couple of questions related to computer adaptive testing. So the first one is, in our presentations or materials, we show evaluation happening after the 70th question, and the attendee is asking why it begins after 70 questions. - This is a very good question. We make it 70 questions because that's the requirement for the minimum- length exam. So after you've answered 70 operational items, the computer starts to evaluate if your exam met any of the three stopping rules to terminate the exam, and then the exam will start to compare your ability to the passing standard to decide the pass-fail decision. - I'll take it.
