    In order to participate in the steering committee, a L.A.C.E. member needed to have at least one year of experience on the APRN L.A.C.E. panel. In order to ensure that there was continuity on this panel and the steering committee, the terms were staggered. Initially, half of the positions were elected for 1 year. The other half for 2 years.
