    The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide an organization through which boards of nursing act and counsel together on matters of common interest and concern affecting the public health, safety and welfare, including the development of licensing examinations in nursing. The regulation requires nursing programs: Determine that its curriculum satisfies the state educational requirements for a license or certification where the institution is located. For students who enroll on or after July 1, 2024, the curriculum must satisfy state educational requirements for licensure or certification in the state where the student is enrolled in distance education at the time of enrollment or meet the state educational requirements for licensure or certification where the student intends to seek employment.
