For another example, let's look at this polytomous item with the maximum possible score being 3. For each of the White and Asian Other groups with the same ability level, the table presents the probability of obtaining its score. Again, these are the probabilities for groups with the same ability level. If everything is good, we expect to see very similar numbers for the White and Asian Other groups. However, based on the numbers, 80% of the candidates in the White group obtained a maximum score 3. For the Asian Other group, only 3% obtained the score 3, and most of them obtained score 1.

And so, this might have narrowed our sample inadvertently, so...but we feel that, overall, our demographics reveal that our representation is very strong and our response rate quite good. So, in conclusion, what we discovered is that for many students the clinical experiences in their FNP programs did not provide the patient encounters reflecting the tasks that were deemed as essential, outlined in the ANCC FNP Role Delineation study and used for the development of the National Certification Examination.

And it's no surprise that the biggest increase was related to nurse practitioner graduates and much smaller numbers with the other APRN programs.

You know, I've been in this role for quite a number of years. I've been a nurse in Delaware for over 40 years. So I have I believe good trust within the nurses in Delaware, and I think that we collaborated exceptionally well in order to be able to get this legislation passed. And the other piece is that the leadership of all the organizations, it says a lot for them as well as how they work together and everyone came together again with the common message of increasing access to care.
