I don't know if you caught the story I mentioned in my session, it might have been a time where we were having a little technical issue, but I was on a faculty where one person just lectured and spoon-fed and gave them study guides, and then the rest of us were trying to promote thinking and action, and she got great evaluations, and we didn't get very good evaluations. And once she left and the students realized that this is college, this is thinking, you're going to be out there making life and death decisions, then the bad evaluations stopped. So again, if everybody's on the same page philosophically with adult learning, then you shouldn't have that issue. - Okay, fantastic.

If your ability is very high, we have a very difficult items for you. If your ability is very low, we still can find you very easy items for you. If you take a CAT exam and you start seeing difficult items, that means your ability estimate is getting high and you may have good chance to pass the exam. Every time you respond to an item, the computer estimates your ability based on all questions you have answered. And according to the updated ability estimate, the computer finds you the matching item for you to answer in the next round.

And so, then we're coming back from these deployments and they're going back into COVID, right, so you have people that are going down range dealing with that, and then coming back and then also going right back into the mix in their civilian job with COVID care. So there's just been some really good programs and I'd love to talk to you about it later. - Absolutely. Well, we will end here and I hope you all have a great lunch and we'll see you back in one hour at 01:00.

In the middle is the passing standard that separates those individuals at or above the minimal level of competence for safe and effective practice. This is an area where we want to have the greatest precision in order to make sure we are making good decisions. The standard error of measurement is on the Y-axis. This metric is really important because that's the indicator of precision that we use while we're doing the testing. And so for this metric, the lower the value and the better we measure, the less uncertainty we have about a candidate's individual ability with respect to the nursing content on the exam.
