FINAL_14_CBC_Guidelines_052914.pdf
CBCs are relatively inexpensive for the applicant and can readily be performed using various methods allowing a state board of nursing (BON) quick access to information that is vital to protecting the public. While some applicants have violations that are misdemeanors, the result of youthful indiscretions or one-time occurrences, there are cases where criminal history is insight into a pattern of thinking and behavior that might endanger the public. For this reason, NCSBN encourages all BONs to incorporate state and federal biometric CBCs into their requirements for licensure. The following, however, can be used by all jurisdictions, regardless of the means by which they collect CBC information.

I'm not seeing any questions at this time. So I'd like to thank you for joining. Oh, sorry. Okay, thank you so much. Yes, we... Sue had asked if we plan to correlate our data to NCLEX outcomes and yes, we do plan to do so. And I see Paulette over here has asked, "Is there any comparison to the association of pass rates and changes in clinical and simulation?" ©2021 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. Rationale: providing the nurse and other stakeholders direction on when the application must be submitted. Ensure there is a transition period of 60 days for a nurse to apply for a license in a new party state. States should not deactivate a license until the new license is issued or adjudicated. This should help avoid unintended practice without a license.

The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) produces publications, online courses and videos that contribute to the body of nursing knowledge. Sites volunteering to participate, however, faced many challenges while the study was underway. This article presents the TTP program, study design, challenges faced by nonhospital sites trying to implement a TTP program, and limited findings 2015 | Research Item Faculty Development When Initiating Simulation Programs: Lessons Learned From the National Simulation Study Nursing programs are seeking guidance from boards of nursing about how much simulation can be substituted for traditional clinical practice. To address this question and to assess educational outcomes when simulation is substituted for clinical time, the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) conducted a study using 10 nursing schools across the United States.
