Affordable access and faculty development at scale, ethical governance and global policy alignment, and deeper integration with NGN-aligned clinical judgment frameworks. I'll leave you with this. ©2026 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. All rights reserved. 5 The question is no longer whether AI belongs in simulation education. That question has been answered. The question now is how we design it well with the rigor, the equity, the clinical grounding that our students deserve. Thank you for your time today, and I look forward to your Q&A.

JNR_-_Using_Electronic_Fingerprints.pdf
Of those with criminals histories, 1,273 were nursing students seeking licensure, and 371 (29%) of them had a criminal history that was not disclosed on their initial application. The BON staff has conducted 1,311 live scans since imple- mentation and receives live scan rap sheets 24 to 48 hours after submission. Receiving a rap sheet takes 5 to 7 days after sub- mitting an inked fingerprint card. If a name check is required because of an unreadable fingerprint, the staff receives the rap sheet in 4 to 6 weeks. The live scan devices have obtained fingerprints of nursing students at various nursing schools and conferences.

That concludes our session on... oh, wait a minute, there's one more question that has just come in, Lori. It's from Kathy Thomas. It says, "Lori, great cases that illustrate the ©2021 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. All rights reserved. 5 problem. We need to develop a uniform solution. Let's work on a recommended waiver for those from non-compact states in a simple way to license these nurses." - Thank you, Kathy. That's a great feedback and a great idea. - And if we don't have any more questions or comments, we'll take a short four-minute break before the next session. - Thank you. - Thank you, Lori. - Thanks.

And what excites us the most about this is that these progression indicator matrices and the unfolding case studies can be scalable across the entire curriculum from foundations, to adult health, to maternal-child, and mental health nursing. ©2026 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. All rights reserved. 5 This creates a clear developmental pathway that allows our students to progress from Introducing to Developing and ultimately Developed through clinical judgment by graduation. Importantly, it also gives our faculty a common language for evaluating our students.

I'd just like to close with saying, you know, I am super supportive of standardization. I think we know in healthcare, standardizing things, whether it's the timeout in the operating room to make sure that you're working on the right leg, or if it's the 5 rights or the 12 rights or the 27 rights that we have now, we know that standardizing practice improves outcomes, and we need desperately standardization in NP education as well as benchmarks for accountability. And that, to me, is very important for patient safety.
