And no, just like the current NCLEX exam, there will be no drug resources or references. Yes, we can use them in practice, if you would like, but we cannot use them for testing on the exam. ©2020 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. All rights reserved. 5 - Okay, thank you. And then, Joe, I have several questions for you that relate to, is there a percentage of the new exam that will be these case studies versus let's say traditional multiple-choice questions that the educators are used to? - Yeah, that hasn't been determined yet.

Please note that when a candidate does have a reader, they will be required to have a separate room so that they're not distracting other candidates during their testing time. ©2022 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. All rights reserved. 5 Yes, they are allowed to have readers, but again, they need to have the diagnosis papers, and then they would also need to have a separate room accommodation as well. - Wonderful. And then, another question for you, Jenn, concerning accommodations.

But the idea of partnering with someone and collaborating so that that work can be published in the journal, so that you're seeing yourself in this publication, is a huge goal of ours. So I hope you'll think about that. ©2026 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. All rights reserved. 5 Because we would love you to, some of you have research resources in your boards of nursing. But also, I know you have incredible academic partnerships as well. And we've got an amazing research department here at NCSBN. Now, as I wrap up, I have a real coming, it is out now actually.

We will see some examples of such cases on the next slide. So what do we do with this DIF information? If an item shows DIF, what does it mean? Well, it could mean three things. ©2025 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. All rights reserved. 5 First, although the statistics are positive for DIF, there is no evidence from reading the item itself that DIF exist. When the panel reads and examines the item, the panel may not find anything wrong with the item itself. This is a common case in the NCLEX DIF analysis, since the quantitative method we use intends to cast a wider net to flag all possible items that may be potentially problematic.

PNEC approves the Test Plan category weights and decides whether current percentages for the eight REx-PN Test Plan categories will be maintained for the next upcoming cycle. ©2025 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. These processes are fundamental to the practice of nursing and are integrated throughout all client needs categories and subcategories.

And I'm happy to respond back at a later time, but really I think where I'm coming from with this presentation is how do we best use our students' data for assessing clinical judgment and competency-based education? So I'll actually defer to Megan and Amy on that one. - Okay. - So I know that... - Sure, Amy. ©2026 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. All rights reserved. 5 - Sorry. I know that Megan said earlier. She was talking about the grant, the initial buy-in, all of that. We originally got a grant as well for our first experience with VR, which helped to cover the cost of a couple of headsets that we were using, as well as the initial software.

. Student nurses who are elected/appointed officers should restrict their personal activity to family and friends, and maintain a second option for their “public face” for colleagues, classmates and peers while in office. This is also recommended for student nurses who want to maintain a separation of their personal lives from their professional lives. 5 o Example: A school president creates a public Facebook page that followers can “like” to maintain professional networking and communications with the school chapter Board. o Alternate example: After thoroughly reviewing the privacy setting options, a student chooses a customized setting so that anyone in their “Restricted” group may only view their profile photo and contact information.
