So far nothing here has changed. The path to get to the pass rates and the fact sheets is still the same, but the difference will be noticeable when you click on the link to find out more. On the right side we've got a screenshot of the new interactive dashboard. This dashboard has taken the place of the plethora of historical PDFs. We'll go over a few of the changes using the pass rate dashboard, but the same elements will be found for the fact sheet also. First of all, you'll see across the top of the tables that you can select for any of the past 10 years to get that data easily.

Since the release of the NCSBN national simulation study results, states have begun to develop policies or rules addresssing the use of simulation, though there have been no further surveys to document the changes being made. A recent national survey (Breymier et al., 2015) found that there was considerable variability in, and confusion around, the ratio of simulation hours to clinical experience hours used. These ratios are determined by the nursing program. Some programs use a 1:1 ratio, others use 1:2, and still others use 2:1. For example, in the NCSBN National Simulation study (Hayden et al., 2014), the ratio used was 1:1.
