For the 5 remaining jurisdictions, rigorous internal testing determined data collected through the nurses felt enrollment in a notify system was a sufficient volume and quality. Ultimately deemed unnecessary. For those not familiar, nurse a notify is a free online tool linked to the licensure database through which a nurse consultant role to receive reminders and updates to get their professional license or licenses up-to-date. As part of the registration process, a nurse must report and keep up to date information across all the fields.

This has been available since July and will continue to be available to aid students in prepping for the exam. Now, this purchasable product does provide what we call a look and feel of the CAT examination. And what do we mean by a look and feel? Well, it is an online exam, so there's a difference there. But it does contain the item formats that are on the actual exam, so those select all that apply. I think Hong mentioned earlier in her presentation the different format. The practice exam only allows forward responses, meaning you can't go backward, much like on the real REx-PN.

Carol Dobson, RMN, BA, CPN, Cert Ed, RNT, MAED, Dip Clin Hyp, director at Scotland’s Flying Start Programme, presented innovative Web-based approaches to training new health care providers. Flying Start is Scotland’s national development program for newly qualified nurses, midwives and allied health professionals. It is a national online, learner-directed development program that takes the approach of blended work-based learning, supported by mentors. Taking the presenters’ viewpoints into account, Transition Forum participants brainstormed about how to effectively develop programs to help new nurses develop relationships with their preceptors while simultaneously gaining confidence.
