That's the first part is they have to do a screen share, allow with the remote proctor to be able... so the remote proctor can see what's actually on their screen. Then they're given guidance in terms of where to place a camera. It could be a cell phone camera, it could be a web camera, whatever, it's typically behind them somewhere. ©2024 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. So they can already see on your forward-facing camera, kind of like what you look like in front of you, but they can also then see behind you, and it gives them a complete picture of your testing environment.

And although, you know, in our case, we don't use the tool in its entirety, we've adapted it. I would have to say that it's a very... I think it's a very strong tool for evaluating, you know, new nurse, novice nurse learners. ©2024 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. All rights reserved. 5 - Thank you so much, Carrie. And then, Crystal, can you give us a bit of insight on how your organization come to use the clinical judgment framework that you use? - Yes. I liked the simplicity of it when we were looking at different literature. I mean, like I said, when we handed it out to the staff, it's on one page, you know, front-back.

They saw this as akin to a supervisory requirement with a physician. For controlled substance prescriptive authority, they believe the multi-state license shouldn't just speak to non-controlled substance. ©2026 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. All rights reserved. 5 An APRN should be able to carry that controlled substance prescribing authority, Schedules II through IV, independently to every state where they are practicing. And for the APRN Compact Commission, their request is that they'd like APRN membership on that commission and perhaps an APRN advisory committee to the commission as well.

I think the next scenario about military spouses is even more difficult for nurses to understand just because of the amount of time a nurse might be in another state practicing. And so, in this scenario, Nurse Brown is a military spouse, meaning, a civilian. ©2024 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. All rights reserved. 5 It is Nurse Brown's spouse or her husband who is the service person. And they're legal residents of Washington State. And if some of you may not be aware, Washington State is now a compact state. And that's where Nurse Brown holds her multistate license.

  • JRC Project Proposal:

Simulations In each simulation, simulated candidates were administered an adaptive test according to the item presentation rules used in the operational NCLEX examinations. The distribution of simulated test takers was set to match that of the spring 2003 NCLEX-RN sample. Field-test items were simulated to mimic the distribution of difficulty in the -5- operational item pools. To simplify the simulation, tests were fixed at 75 items in length. Calibration sample size. Three sample sizes ...

It's how we engage with you, the membership, with our stakeholders, our politicians that have political aspirations in government, and most importantly, the people that we protect. We now need to focus on scalability. ©2023 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. All rights reserved. 5 And let me give you a small example of what I mean by that. We're all familiar with the Nursys system that has enabled us to have a nurse license compact that is leading to a compact nation, a nation that supports safe care delivery with ever-increasing complexity, care is delivered in alternate environments, and the commission is there to administer the model.

Listening to employers who are navigating real workforce realities. Listening to data that is emerging, signifying risks that we should be paying attention to. Deep listening is where we need to head. ©2025 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. All rights reserved. 5 And so I want to introduce you to an order of Knights Radiant. You've heard about all of them. I just told you about that. But there's a couple of orders that I want you to know about. These edge dancers, who are special-order Knight Radiants, their ideal underneath the universal ideal was compassion that sees the invisible, listening beyond the surface.
