One of the NRB's fundamental roles is setting direction for the NRB. The NRB, working closely with the EO, should periodically review the NRB's mission, values and vision; and understand its stakeholders and the internal and external operating environment. NRB conducts and reviews self-assessment Resources Tool #7 NRB Self-Assessment Description Tool #7, NRB Self-Assessment, will assist the NRB in developing public policy and advocating on behalf its behalf. The tool will also assist in identifying strengths and weaknesses in NRB development and effective use of meeting time.
