    The 2024 National Nursing Workforce Study represents the largest and most comprehensive national survey of the U.S. nursing workforce. RReettuurrnn RRaatteess A total of 190 of the 4,000 surveys were mailed to bad addresses. There were 1,552 returned for an overall 40.7% return rate. Of the 1,552 surveys received, 25 were unable to be analyzed, 118 respondents report- ed they were not working in nursing, and 92 either reported spending less than an average of 20 hours per week in direct client care or failed to answer that question on the survey.
