The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide an organization through which boards of nursing act and counsel together on matters of common interest and concern affecting the public health, safety and welfare, including the development of licensing examinations in nursing. Red_Flags_during_Document_Analysis.pdf
A mismatch between date of birth and college graduation can be a sign of an error in the licensure application or a sign of a fraudulent licensure application or supporting document. For example: § If the applicant’s birthdate is 5/18/98, it is not probable that the graduation date is 6/1/2015. § If the applicant’s date of entering school is 9/5/10, it is not probable that the NCLEX date is 6/1/11. § If the applicant’s date of graduation is 6/1/11, it is not probable that the NCLEX application is 7/5/15. The examples above indicate red flags for educational chronology.
