Puente stated that the updated FAQ document can be found on the NLC Members site. 5. 60-Day Rule – Additional Guidance J. Puente reported that in late Oct. 2023 commissioners received resources regarding the new rule, including a press release that linked to FAQs and a brief video. A board of nursing (BON) asked for clarification of the new rule’s time frame. The NLC Rules Committee discussed the question, and developed supplemental guidance with R. Masters and F. Knight for the public and for BONs. The supplemental guidance was reviewed and with editorial revisions by the NLC Executive Committee. 6.

We want to have the kinds of things where, if somebody comes to you, you can send them to what we've got or you can give them what we've got so you're not starting from scratch, reinventing the wheel. But also, I heard in one of the sessions, sometimes the best approach there is prevention.
