Approximately 46 butcher paper stories were created during these discussions, and qualitative researchers from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas analyzed the illustrative themes from the discussions about what nursing could be if education, approval and accreditation were aligned. The six themes developed from this analysis are: Mutual goals for nursing education, practice and regulation; Power and influence for the profession; Unity and collaboration; Economy of time and money; Transparent communication; and Safety and protection of patients and students.
