Almost 26% (25.9%) of the disciplined nurses changed their home address and 20.9% changed employers during the probation period. For the majority of the disciplined nurses (82.9%), the disci- plinary actions were taken by their original state of license. Table 4 summarizes the findings.

South Dakota Enacts APRN Compact | NCSBN
Gov. Kristi Noem signed the APRN Compact into law in the state of South Dakota on Feb. 5, 2024. There are seven exam user members and 23 associate members that are either NRBs or empowered regulatory authorities from other countries or territories. Legislation Addressing Opioid Epidemic Becomes Law | NCSBN
The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide an organization through which boards of nursing act and counsel together on matters of common interest and concern affecting the public health, safety and welfare, including the development of licensing examinations in nursing. With regard to disclosure of a patient privacy, HHS would be required to determine the most effective ways for displaying a patient’s opioid addictions in their medical records with the patient’s permission. It would also require HHS to notify health-care providers about permitted disclosures under privacy laws during emergencies.
