    A total of 99 individuals did not qualify for analysis of survey rating scales because they were not currently working in Ontario as an RN (n=53) and/or they were working less than 20 hours per week providing direct care to clients as an RN or not providing direct care (n=46) . Since the RNs targeted for this survey were entry level, there is an expectation that some are not working yet . After adjusting for incorrect addresses and removals, the analyzable response rate was 26 .1% . RN CNo Comparability Survey Nonresponder Study To provide additional support for the validity of the results, a survey of nonresponders was conducted to determine if CNO RNs who did not respond rated the survey activity statements similarly to the responders .

    Following the endorsement of proposed revisions by the NEC, the test plan document is presented for approval to the Delegate Assembly, which is the decision- making body of NCSBN. The test plan serves a variety of purposes. It is used to guide candidates preparing for the examination, to direct item writers in the development of items, and to facilitate the classification of examination items.

    Furthermore, practice analysis studies have long been recognized by measurement and testing professions as important sources of validity evidence for licensure examinations (APA, AERA, and NCME, 2014; Raymond, 2001). Because the U.S. health care industry is rapidly changing, practice analysis studies are traditionally conducted by NCSBN on a three-year cycle. As nursing practice evolves, NCSBN continues to explore opportunities to keep the terminology in the practice analysis current. For this reason, a few data points have been added or deleted since the 2018 NCLEX-PN Practice Analysis resulting in a lack of 1:1 comparison between the two reports.
