What does substance use disorder look like, and how prevalent is it in the United States currently? - So, what we know is that one in three people personally know someone with a substance use disorder. So, these are our friends, our co-workers, our colleagues, maybe our neighbors. And 1 in 7 people, so about 15% live with someone with a substance use disorder. So, these are our parents, our children, our spouses, our loved ones. And my heart always goes out to this population because that was me not too long ago. And I remember how envious and jealous sometimes I was of my colleagues when they used to end their days.

Naltrexone (cont.) § Naltrexone can be prescribed by any health care provider who is licensed to prescribe medications. § To reduce the risk of precipitated withdrawal, patients are warned to abstain from illegal opioids and opioid medication for a minimum of 7-10 days before starting naltrexone. § If switching from methadone to naltrexone, the patient has to be completely withdrawn from the opioids. Buprenorphine (opioid) § Partial agonist (activator) – Binds to and activates a given receptor, but only has partial efficacy at the receptor § As compared to heroin, which is a full agonist, the “highs” are quite low as compared to heroin. § Allows a client to be weaned off their addiction while minimizing withdrawal symptoms.

(d) The party state Compact Administrators involved in the dispute shall recuse themselves from consideration or voting by the full Commission. History: Adopted August 14, 2018; effective January 1, 2019. 503. COMPLIANCE AND ENFORCEMENT. (1) Compliance and enforcement issues shall be initiated by the Executive Committee. (2) The Executive Committee, through the DirectorExecutive Director, shall send a written statement to the Compact Administrator in the party state with the alleged non- compliance issue.

What we don't do?" So, we have four major objectives, to look at what is documented in the evidence around the different models, the diversity that's happening around the world. Looking for those innovations, what's happening out there which is giving us this 1%, 2%, 3% improvement? What's happening out there, which is protecting people, but giving us these co-benefits? Trying to see whether those innovations have been measured and studied, and we could look at the sort of cost implications of some of those issues.
