If you weren’t working at NCSBN, what would your dream job be? I have always wanted to work in the animation world. Ever since I saw Toy Story, I was amazed at what goes into the creation of a full-length 3D animated movie. I think it would be so rewarding to be part of such a production. We are always seeking information and story ideas for In Focus, NCSBN’s quarterly publication.

I know that throughout the country, as I visit Boards of Nursing, we talk about things like reprimand. And one of the assumptions that a regulatory board can have is that what they think of and consider a reprimand is what every other state does. And that's not the case.

My time management skills have also improved greatly, so I have the time to sit and visit, listen, educate, and observe. My understanding of Diabetes is bet- ter than it was although I still have a lot to learn. [LPN/VN, Year 5] In the first six months of practice, I was very task oriented. I couldn’t seem to see past the tasks that needed to be done, vs. the critical thinking and actions that come with more experience in nurs- ing.
