It can allow the licensee to place his or her license on inactive status, and that's private, that the inactive status holds until there's a hearing. You can allow the licensee to surrender his or her license, which is what they asked for Dr. C to do here and he did, and that's public. Or, if you cannot talk the licensee into doing Item 1 or Item 2, you can hold a summary suspension which is very public. The statute says that it's effective during the proceedings. So what all of this means is there are three means to the same end for the Board. There's going to be a disciplinary hearing at the end of that process.
