This electronic survey was sent out January 26, 2005. A total of 36 boards of nursing replied to the survey, though not all of the boards replied to every question. A majority of the boards of nursing replying to the survey defined clinical experiences as “hands-on” nursing experiences. The boards tended to require higher faculty qualifications for classroom teaching than for simulation or clinical teaching.
