This candidate passes the exam because the final ability is above the passing standard, even though the confidence interval is not totally above the passing standard. When the candidate uses all the exam time, but that exam has not been terminated by one of the previous two criteria, the running-out-of-time rule will be applied to a stop the exam. ©2020 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. If the candidate's final ability is above the passing standard, the candidate passes the exam.

I'd like to invite everyone now to enter their questions into the Q&A function if you'd like to ask Anne Marie any questions. But while we wait, I would like to kick us off with a question that I have if you don't mind, Anne Marie. In U.S. Nurse Practitioner programs, the students are required to have a minimum of 500 direct clinical hours. Is there such a requirement or standard for clinical placement hours in Canada? And if so, is it unique to the program or the province? Can you give us some more information on that? ©2021 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. As an example, 12 applications were received by IERF in the Western Hills School of Nursing case and 18 were received from JLF University Allied Health College within the same time period. Additionally, most of the applicants were not originally from Ghana and Jamaica/Haiti, respectively. All these cases were subsequently withdrawn and notices were sent to the state licensing boards. Next Steps It is not the intention of this section to create paranoia and impractical, stringent requirements within the licensure process. However, it is hoped that it does showcase how critical it is for agencies to establish a careful review process.

Okay, so Jamila says, "So, if a nurse living in Pennsylvania has a single state license and then the state transitions into a Compact state, do all the nurses already work in PA have to get a new license as a result of that?" So no, it's not a requirement. So, in PA, for example, PA joined the Compact, but they're currently working through the implementation process.
