And using that coach model that I talked about. And then if there are any that fall in the third category, those would go to the QA committee. If we did not get...Like, when we reached out to the registrants, they were like, "You know, I'm doing fine. I'm not paying attention to this feedback, etc, etc. Then those would go to the QA committee. - And then what would the QA committee do? - The QA committee have powers to say, "Okay. We want an onsite review of this practice." Or, "We want the nurse to come and meet with us and tell us about whatever the observation was that's concerning."

That was a kind of database that our data scientists could gain access to. It's freely available. But the next stage was actually a de-identification of cases, and testing to see whether that risk classification worked. So it was... Yeah, I hope that answers your question. Okay. Currently, around half of the boards of nursing regulate and approve APRN education programs in their jurisdictions. We all know that boards of nursing are really under assault by external entities who are seeking to regulate APRNs. As recently as 2023, the American Medical Association passed a policy amendment recommending joint regulation of APRNs by boards of medicine and boards of nursing. Some of you in this room know all too well about joint regulation. Alabama, North Carolina, and Virginia have joint regulatory structures in place now for APRNs.

Televideo triage involves prioritizing a client’s health problems according to their urgency, educating and advising clients, and making safe, effective and appropriate dispositions. Health care organizations use nurses for televideo triage to assess the patient’s potential for wellness and response to various treatment strategies as a mechanism to reduce hospitalizations. This type of practice requires the use of electronic medical records. www.ncsbn.org 2 The nurse’s role in the implementation of medical regimens is also accomplished using telehealth. The electronic implementation of medical protocols or guidelines to achieve certain client health outcomes is an established delivery model.

They function as establishing standards that set a high bar for the profession, that show that someone who holds medical boards has completed training in their medical or their clinical specialty, that they've completed a high- stakes assessment of knowledge and clinical skills, and they meet the standards of that specialty, and then on passing that board they become a diplomat of the board.

Are there a lot of military veterans that we're dealing with these days, right? Who? Especially have come back from the wars just recently. Sure. And, you know, traumatic events can be retriggered because they're working in our hospitals, especially our VA medical centers, right? They're fully staffed with veterans who have been in wars and stuff like that. So, when they're being interviewed and stuff, you know, you got to think about what's happening to them, too. And they're big, tough, broody guys who aren't gonna act like nothing's happening to them, but we actually know that there is something.

In particular, regulators have played a central role in offering accurate data, evidence, and suggestions for legislative change and many of these changes provide solutions that should be sustained in the longer term. There has been for a long time overwhelming evidence that nurses need to be enabled to work to their full scope of practice. Regulators and professional associations have brought this evidence to the attention of government as a solution to increase capacity and access to needed quality services. The solution also reduce bureaucracy and costs as well improving efficiency and effectiveness of service provision. We are pleased to see barriers to restrictions on scope of practice being removed and hope that this new way of working becomes the norm.
