  • NCLEX Online | NCLEX

    Site: nclex.com

NCSBN is exploring technology that would allow candidates to take the NCLEX online. This would allow candidates to take the test in locations other than traditional test centers, while still maintaining ultimate exam security and integrity. Accommodations will be dependent upon the test administration location (i.e., in a test center or online). Will I be able to have my phone with me remotely? Yes, if you take the NCLEX online, you will need your phone as part of the exam process. Candidates will need to download the free 360 app on their phone. This app uses the camera on your phone in concert with the camera on your computer to provide the live proctors with a 360-degree view, ensuring your testing area is not compromised. You will not be able to use your phone for any other purpose during the exam.

One member likes this idea but wants to make sure it’s definitely discernably different from the Exceptional Contribution award. There was some concern expressed about the name “Enterprise” as it does not seem to strike the idea of new to nursing regulation? A new recommendation is the “Impact Award” rather than “Enterprise”, that focuses on the impact a member has made. The Committee likes the idea of adding the two awards and that they will know if it’s successful based on the number of nominations for these awards. Official Launch Date The committee supported a recommendation that the annual awards program be launched following the annual meeting or at the beginning of the fiscal year (Oct 1).
