    Although a productive research program already exists within NCSBN, expanding the opportunities for research to the membership, external individuals and organizations allows for growth in the number of projects, decreases the time frame in which projects can be initiated and increases the diversity of ideas that can be explored. Data generated by investigators will augment the work of all state boards of nursing and, consequently, evidence-based regulation will benefit all nurses in the U.S. Boards of nursing, professional organizations, state agencies and individuals interested in the advancement of nursing regulation are eligible for funding.
