Suffice it to know, for the purposes of this first half of the presentation, we really use the findings for phase 1 and 2 to then inform outreach to international regulators to spur a broader conversation about their takeaways, and the key findings of that research. But phases 3 and 4 are going to be discussed in the second half of the presentation.

It focused on issues of relevance to nursing, and it took six months to analyze and identify which of the committees were central to the advancement of the nursing profession.

The committee also requested that an estimation of additional dates to commit to be noted for President-elect and Treasurer candidates. LSC Policy 1.0 Review Staff led a review of the LSC’s policy and procedures. Staff reminded the committee that the BOD has convened the Governance & Bylaws Review Committee for this fiscal year and they will meet for the first time in March to examine the functions of the LSC.

How do Boards determine applicant’s native language? Which English Proficiency exams are acceptable? Is there a time frame or expiration of exam? Is there concern for public safety if applicant took the exam 10 years ago and was not licensed at that time and now requests to use the scores from 10 years ago? What if applicant has been licensed and working in the US? Is there a specific passing score requirement?
