    A host state is defined as an “NCSBN member state, outside of the home state”; a home state is defined as an “NCSBN member state where the program has legal domicile.” For example, if a prelicensure nursing program that is located and approved in Illinois offered either clinical or didactic nursing education in Wisconsin, the home state is Illinois and the host state is Wisconsin.
