    Here, it's the same idea. Based on data, we can put ability and test scores on the same chart. We can draw a line, more like a curve here, using a psychometric method called the IRT model. We can now transform test score and ability level. The vertical or the y-axis here is the test score, either in score points or in probability, and the horizontal or x-axis is the ability in logits. The higher your ability is, the higher your score is. Make perfect sense, right? And remember our cut score of 1.8 for our 3-item test based on 2 judges' ratings?
