So, I divide those kind of into two topics. The first is, it's a witness who has personal knowledge. That may seem like, well, duh, but not really because you really have to question your witness, did you see this bad act? Were you present when it occurred? How much attention were you paying? Were you just at the nurse's station and you heard this? Or did you see it yourself? So, you really got to dig down into what is this witness's personal knowledge. What was their perception? The who, what, where, sort of questions.

And this is a way to help ensure that your materials reach the most people. Now, publishing in a what we would consider a traditional journal isn't necessarily a bad thing. And the journals are beginning to become more flexible in their approaches. So even the journal of my field, the Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association has an ability to unlock journal articles. That is we can open journal articles, remove the paywall for everyone. This then allows information to be distributed much more quickly. And just as a reminder, the NIH does have a policy, that within one year, any articles describing research supported by an NIH funding must be completely open access.

But why are so many of these health professionals having untreated or undertreated medical conditions, mental health conditions? These are the people who should know best, right? And I'm sure this is a question you ask yourselves constantly. Why is it so hard to get people who should know the most about these signs and symptoms, about these risks, to get help for themselves?

Again, though, the issue with the international perspective, from Australia, obviously, we're a bit of an island, so it's a bit easier. But, you know, there are big issues with how service providers internationally are providing care to Australian citizens. And some of the challenges, for example, there are medical practitioners, for example, that do want to, from an international jurisdiction, come and provide telehealth services to Australian people. But, for example, one of the requirements that the Nursing and Midwifery Board and the Medical Board of Australia have is that you must present in person in Australia in order to get registered.

The message to Congress was sort of a boring budget speech. The thing about going to the moon was the most exciting part. And then there were other bits and pieces asking for more money, fairly presidential. This one, though, was the one that he focused the attention of space on, and it became resonant throughout history. As a matter of fact, NASA itself celebrates this speech. Of course, NASA celebrates the Apollo mission. Of course, they celebrate the astronauts who go there, but it's interesting to me that they celebrate this speech.

Many people seeking health care have limited proficiency with the English language. Safe, timely and effective diagnosis and treatment of presenting conditions depends upon adequate interpretation of a patient’s symptoms, concerns and needs. Neither health care facilities nor nursing programs have the resources to hire qualified medical interpreters to fit every communication challenge that arises. The Language Access Network (LAN) has developed a HIPPA approved wireless, two-way video and audio wireless connection to a skilled medical interpreter known as MARTTI (My Accessible Real-Time Trusted Interpreter).
