    REx-PN is a new Canadian Practical Nurse exam developed for the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives and the College of Nurses of Ontario. More about the passing standard REx-PN Practice Analysis The periodic performance of practice analysis (i.e., job analysis) studies assists BCCNM and CNO in evaluating the validity of the test plan that guides content distribution of the licensure examination for Licensed Practical/Registered Practical Nurses (LPN/RPNs). Because the Canadian health care industry is rapidly changing, practice analysis studies will be conducted by BCCNM and CNO on a five-year cycle. This practice analysis was conducted with the assistance of NCSBN.     Our item reviewers are clinicians. These are practicing nurses that have unencumbered license. They work for a minimum of eight hours with entry-level nurses. For the RN exam, they are RN licensed. And for the PN exam, they are either RN licensed or LPN licensed. NCLEX items must be linked to the test plan suitable for entry-level practice, accurate, current nursing practice, and for multiple-choice items, one correct answer so we have one correct option. Of course, for multiple response items, you can have one or more options correct.

    So post-secondary education has started a big... Well, they're trying to do a little media push of heroes to...I can't even think of now what it is, healers. Heroes to healers. And they're trying to have... Well, they started with a push to have military medics be equivalent to an LPN from the get-go. Like, go straight to an NCLEX. And so we have negotiated down. We're really trying hard to work with them. And the good thing is that one of the bills, well, the bill sponsors I have worked with with the CMA group and some other things.
