The different test lengths actually reflects different number of a standalone operational items. Please keep in mind that standalone operational items contains both traditional NCLEX items and the clinical judgment standalone items. On this slide, I would like to draw your attention to another important component of the CAT exam, which is content balancing. Content balancing means that all candidates receive the same distribution of items by content area, as well as clinical judgment. For the Next Generation NCLEX CAT Exam, we use test plans as the blueprint of all exams.
