However, a recent study reported that RNs stated reasons for leaving their jobs in non- Magnet hospitals were more often work environment compared with those leaving from Magnet hospitals.25 Magnet hospitals and university-affiliated hospitals both tend to be located in larger population areas, all of which may impact the hiring and retention of nurses.
