Further, some Boards have found that when faculty members are prepared with a master’s degree, those programs have significantly higher NCLEX pass rates. The National League for Nursing Accredited Commission (NLNAC) has found that there are significantly better outcomes (one outcome measure includes NCLEX pass rates) when programs are accredited, versus when they are not, most likely related to the higher standards associated with accreditation.

In those instances, NCSBN utilizes an alternate approach to obtain a comprehensible term. Research is conducted using credible sources to obtain an acceptable translation.

There is only scattered research addressing the issue of compromised item impact in sufficient detail to provide much direction for testing programs. There is even less research that provides guidance in addressing how testing program design factors can mitigate the impact of compromised items.

In addition, over the coming years, there will be significant turnover among senior nursing staffs, as well as in lead- ership and faculty positions.
